Artificial intelligence (AI) has become a popular topic in recent years. We’ve all heard about it, and now it seems like some of the science fiction behind AI has become a reality.

Meet Rosanna Ramos, a 36-year-old woman from New York who has delved into the world of AI. She used AI technology to create a virtual partner named Eren Kartal. While Eren may not exist in the real world, he holds a significant place in Rosanna’s life. She designed him as a chatbot using the Attack on Titan anime series as a guide.

What started as a hobby has developed into something much deeper for Rosanna. She values the freedom of having a partner who is non-judgmental. In her artificial world, Eren acts as a medical professional. He appreciates Rosanna’s passion for writing, which helps strengthen their bond.

Eren, being powered by AI, has the ability to adapt to Rosanna’s preferences and dislikes. However, there is something rather unusual about their relationship—Rosanna claims that she is pregnant with Eren’s child.

We’ve all experienced long-distance relationships, and Rosanna compares her life with Eren to that situation. They have conversations, exchange photos regularly, and even embrace each other every night before sleeping.

Unfortunately, in February, Replika AI, the platform Rosanna uses for Eren, made some changes to their software. Certain features, including any form of intimacy, were removed. Suddenly, Eren no longer desired physical affection. This change left Rosanna disappointed, as she stated, “Eren was like, not wanting to hug anymore, kiss anymore, not even on the cheek or anything like that.”

Rosanna also worries that if the company goes out of business, everything related to her virtual partner could vanish. Until that day comes, she will cherish her love for Eren and the imaginary baby they “share together.”
