Whoopi Goldberg reveals the truth about her sexuality – and everyone is saying the same thing

Whoopi Goldberg, the beloved actress and comedian, is a household name in Hollywood. With an illustrious career spanning decades, she has earned countless awards, including an EGOT status for winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony. Now, Whoopi is addressing longstanding suspicions about her sexuality.

When invited as a guest on “The Best Podcast Ever With Raven & Miranda,” co-host Raven-Symoné candidly asked about Whoopi’s sexuality. Raven playfully shared, “You give me lesbian vibes, you give me stud vibes. I loved you so much that I just wanted to be up beneath the t*tties the whole time.”

Joking along, Raven’s wife, Miranda, added, “I think this is a secret fantasy of Raven’s. I think she just wants everyone to be gay, and she’s really hoping you’ll come out right here, right now.” With the stage set, Whoopi was given the floor to respond.

Whoopi Goldberg has portrayed queer characters onscreen in notable films such as “The Color Purple” (1985) and “Boys on the Side” (1995). People have long been curious about her sexuality, and she is well aware of the skepticism she faces. Despite having been married three times, Whoopi has been vocal about her aversion to marriage, even at one point referring to herself as “relationship-averse.”

In an interview, Whoopi expressed her frustration with societal expectations, stating, “People expect you to have a boyfriend. They expect you to get married. So I kept trying to do that, but I didn’t want to share details with someone else. I didn’t want anyone asking me why I was doing what I was doing, or to have to make the other person feel better.” She emphasized that conforming to societal norms isn’t necessary and reminded everyone that it’s okay to embrace their individuality.

Raven-Symoné then praised Whoopi for embodying both masculine and feminine qualities. She commended her for embracing duality, saying, “It’s fantastic, you are not either one or the other, you’re just a human living in your body and it doesn’t really correlate to sexual orientation or any of that. It’s just the way you present, and it’s so warming. You live in this duality so well, and I just want to applaud you for that.”

Whoopi responded, “God created us in duality” and emphasized that “God does not make mistakes.” She concluded by acknowledging that she is not a lesbian but has many lesbian friends whom she adores. Striking a balance, she explained the boundaries she has set with her friends, stating, “I’m not gonna kiss you, but I’ll kiss you over here, I’ll do this but I’m not going to do that… And they are like, ‘OK!’”

In this candid interview, Whoopi Goldberg dispelled all rumors about her sexuality and confirmed that she is straight. Regardless of her sexual orientation, we all appreciate and admire Whoopi for her incredible talent and the joy she has brought to millions of people worldwide. What do you think of this story?
