In 1992, he was arrested for domestic violence after an altercation with his then-girlfriend, Andrea Bernard. Despite the troubled start, they eventually got married and had four children together. His first daughter, Cambrie, became estranged from him, and in 2019, he was once again arrested for domestic abuse against his girlfriend.
