A strip club in Michigan has faced criticism from locals after displaying a sign that made a joke about hiring new high school graduates. The sign, which read “Now Hiring Class of 2016,” was aimed at fresh high school graduates and caused controversy within the community.

The strip club, called Miceli’s Corner and located in Harrison, gained attention on social media due to its provocative message. Many local residents expressed outrage, believing that the sign sent the wrong message to young girls. Lisa Mulholland, one resident, stated that the sign was inappropriate and encouraged young graduates to pursue higher education instead.

While Mulholland acknowledged that she had no issue with the strip club itself, she believed that the sign crossed a line. Another resident, Lisa Dickerson, agreed and described the idea of recent high school graduates taking their clothes off for money as “sickening.”

Although the club did not immediately respond to phone calls regarding the sign, they later issued an official apology. The club explained that the sign was intended to be a joke and stressed that they did not intend to offend anyone.

Established in the 1970s, Miceli’s Corner is described as having a mild and welcoming atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy modern music while the club’s dancers provide a distraction from daily troubles.
