After a heartbreaking divorce from his longtime wife, Kevin Costner may have found love once more. Rumors have been circulating that the Yellowstone actor is dating singer Jewel, and the two were recently spotted together at a tennis fundraiser for the Inspiring Children Foundation on Richard Branson’s Necker Island.
According to TMZ, the couple flew to the Caribbean together and spent almost a week enjoying each other’s company. This comes after the tumultuous legal battle with Costner’s ex-wife, Christine Baumgartner.
Costner was blindsided when Baumgartner filed for divorce in May of this year, citing “irreconcilable differences.” They had been married for 18 years, and it was a devastating blow for Costner.
“It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond Mr. Costner’s control have resulted in him having to go through a divorce,” a spokesperson for Costner said in a statement. “We ask for privacy as he, Christine, and their children navigate through this difficult time.”
Following the divorce filing, Costner and Baumgartner had a heated dispute, leading to her being kicked out of their family home due to a prenuptial agreement. Costner was also ordered to pay $63,209 a month in child support for their three children: Cayden, 15, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 12.
Despite the dark and challenging journey Costner has been through, there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel. TMZ reports that Costner is now in a relationship with American singer Jewel. While on their Caribbean getaway, the couple seemed to have a special connection. “There was definitely something going on,” said an insider. “When they were together, they both seemed to light up.”
Jewel also mentioned Costner on her social media, expressing her gratitude for his mentoring at the tennis fundraiser. She said, “It’s an incredible time that I use to relax, rest, and play with my son! This year, @kevincostnermodernwest was gracious enough to mentor our youngsters.”
According to TMZ, Costner and Jewel returned from their trip together. Sources say that Jewel is quite selective when it comes to relationships and is looking for a good man, and Kevin seems to fit the bill.
