The Grammys seating plan is facing a major shakeup due to allegations against rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. Typically, organizers only have to contend with the egos of the celebrities attending the prestigious event. However, we have learned that in light of recent rape and sexual abuse claims against the hip-hop star, several celebrity agents have requested that their clients be seated far away from him.

Just recently, Combs reached a settlement in a lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend Cassie, who accused him of abusing her for more than a decade. Furthermore, two more women came forward on Friday, filing civil cases against the star, alleging rape and sexual assault.

Consequently, a number of Academy officials are now considering removing the billionaire superstar from the Grammy guest list. One music insider revealed, “The formal invitations will be sent out later this month. However, there is conflict within the academy, as several voting members believe that it would be inappropriate to invite Diddy. Some, including prominent African-American members, are concerned that extending an invitation to him would send the wrong message to audiences and the charities that the Grammys support. Additionally, numerous publicists have requested that their artists be seated away from him. This has become a logistical nightmare.”

Last week, Cassie, who was signed to Combs’ label, Bad Boy Records, made alarming allegations, including sex trafficking, human trafficking, sexual battery, sexual assault, and gender-motivated violence, among others. She also accused Diddy of pressuring her to have sex with male prostitutes while he filmed them.

In response to these claims, Combs’ attorney stated that the settlement “in no way undermines his complete denial of the allegations.” Combs’ representative also denied the latest accusations.

It is evident that the Grammys, an event typically known for its glitz and glamour, has been thrust into the midst of controversy. With celebrities voicing their concerns and agencies requesting their clients to be seated away from Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, the Academy will have to navigate through this complex situation to ensure a smooth and inclusive experience for all attendees. The final decision regarding Diddy’s invitation remains to be seen, but it is certainly a challenging time for all involved.
