The family also revealed that Evan had been sober for three years, but had recently relapsed after being prescribed opioids following a dental procedure. This heartbreaking turn of events serves as a reminder of the ongoing battle many individuals face in their journey towards recovery.

Although CSI: Miami and My Sister’s Keeper brought Evan recognition, he had actually started his career with a small role in a TV movie and a guest appearance on General Hospital. From there, he went on to star in various shows such as Titus, That Was Then, Mad TV, Complete Savages, Bones, and 24. Sadly, Evan hadn’t been in front of a camera for around ten years prior to his passing, leaving fans mourning the loss of a talented actor.

Abigail Breslin, Evan’s former co-star in My Sister’s Keeper, paid tribute to him, reminiscing about the time they shared on set. She described Evan as kind, funny, and extremely talented, and praised his commitment to delivering the best performances. Some of their scenes together in the movie still give her chills to this day. Evan was also known for his playful and energetic nature, bringing laughter and joy to those around him.
