After tragically losing her husband Ron, Lucy found solace in living with her son and daughter-in-law. With her son Connor receiving the rent from Lucy’s own property, she felt grateful for their support. While Connor worked long hours as an IT technician, Lucy stayed home with her daughter-in-law Eve, who was a dedicated housewife.
Initially, everything was going well. Eve was kind and attentive, taking care of the household chores. Despite Lucy offering her assistance, Eve insisted on handling the cooking and cleaning alone.

“I didn’t fully grasp just how much you do around the house. I wanted to take it easy, so I added more to your load. I’m so sorry,” Eve sincerely confessed.
Lucy couldn’t help but smile, realizing that Eve had learned her lesson. She gently responded, “It’s more than alright. I just want you to understand that, even though I want to help, my age and knees aren’t what they used to be.”
