The Sinise family is going through a tremendously difficult time as they mourn the loss of their beloved son, McCanna Anthony “Mac” Sinise. At only 33 years old, Mac tragically succumbed to his battle with Chordoma, a rare form of cancer. This heartbreaking news was shared by Mac’s father, Gary Sinise, a well-known actor and philanthropist.

Mac’s journey with cancer began in August 2018, shortly after his mother, Moira Harris, successfully defeated stage three breast cancer. Despite facing numerous spine surgeries and the prospect of paralysis from the chest down, Mac’s spirit remained unbreakable. He pursued his passion for music and even graduated from the University of Southern California with a specialization in songwriting and composition. As a drummer, he even had the opportunity to perform alongside his father in the Lt. Dan Band.

Throughout his battle, Mac never lost sight of his love for music. He completed his album, titled “Resurrection & Revival,” just before his passing. The album serves as a testament to Mac’s unwavering resilience and his deep connection to music. It is a manifestation of his indomitable spirit that will continue to touch the lives of others.

Gary Sinise, despite experiencing profound grief from losing a child, takes comfort in the fact that Mac is no longer in pain. He draws strength from his son’s unwavering resilience and finds solace in honoring Mac’s memory. In tribute to Mac, Gary plans to release his son’s album, “Mac Sinise: Resurrection and Revival,” on vinyl, ensuring that Mac’s music continues to bring joy and inspiration to others.

During this difficult time, the Sinise family is grateful for the support and thoughts from those who knew and loved Mac. His memory will always be cherished, serving as a symbol of strength and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
