Frank Fritz

It is with a heavy heart that we share the unfortunate news about Frank Fritz, one of the hosts of the popular television show American Pickers. Frank has faced many challenges in his personal life, including a tumultuous divorce, which led to struggles with alcoholism, unemployment, and health risks. Despite these difficulties, his long-time partner Diann Bankson played a significant role in his life.

Frank and Diann

Their relationship took a sour turn in November when Diann discovered Frank in bed with another woman. This betrayal deeply hurt Frank, but he expressed a continued desire to marry her, even with their troubled past. To remind himself not to repeat the same mistake, Frank even got a tattoo saying, “Once a cheater, always a cheater.” The breakup and its consequences cost Frank both emotionally and financially.

The aftermath of the breakup took a toll on Frank’s well-being and professional life. Following the divorce, Frank decided to put dating on hold while he focused on his journey towards sobriety. Unfortunately, he faced additional setbacks in his career as well. As of March 2020, he will no longer be hosting American Pickers on the History Channel.

Frank’s absence from the show led to speculation and rumors. Some believed that his departure was due to health issues, while others questioned his future with the show. Frank has since clarified that his absence was indeed a result of health problems, specifically related to back surgery. However, he remains optimistic about his return to the program now that he has fully recovered.

Despite his ten-year tenure on American Pickers, it has been reported that there are currently no plans for Frank to return as a host. While this news may disappoint fans, Frank still holds hope. He shared that a showrunner contacted him, promising to bring him back. The future remains uncertain, but Frank’s resilience and determination may yet lead him back to the show he loves.

Frank in the hospital

More recently, Frank faced another major setback. On July 4, 2022, he suffered a stroke and was hospitalized. Thankfully, he was found by a friend who quickly called for help. While the details of his condition have not been disclosed, Frank’s father has reassured the public that he is improving every day.

In the midst of these difficulties, a “longtime friend” of Frank’s has been granted temporary guardianship and conservatorship. This friend, along with a bank acting as conservator, will manage Frank’s finances and ensure that he receives appropriate care. This includes covering the costs of his care facility, transportation for appointments, and making crucial decisions regarding his well-being.

According to documents, Frank’s condition has worsened, rendering him incapable of making important financial decisions or caring for himself. The current arrangement will continue until Frank recovers enough to regain control over his financial affairs and seek treatment for his injuries.

Our hearts go out to Frank Fritz during this challenging time. We wish him the best in his health and recovery. Please share this news with your friends and family so they can support and pray for Frank’s well-being, as we all hope for his swift return to good health and American Pickers.
