Our precocious 6-year-old daughter surprised us with a handwritten note. It turns out that her teacher had requested an urgent meeting with my wife and me. Naturally, we complied and made our way to the school for the unplanned dialogue. Curious about the reason, we asked our little one if she had any clue, to which she casually replied, “She didn’t like a drawing I did.” Intrigued, we probed further to uncover more details.

The next morning, we reported for duty and began our daily routine.

To our surprise, the teacher handed us a painting and explained that she had requested our child to depict her family. And true to form, she had delivered by painting a scene of our family snorkeling. It didn’t take long for us to burst out laughing at the unexpected and imaginative artwork.
