The 33-year-old actor and his long-time partner, Erin Darke, were spotted in New York’s West Village on Father’s Day. Radcliffe was seen proudly carrying their child in a baby carrier.
The couple, known for their privacy, have not yet revealed the name or gender of their baby, who was born in April. However, during their casual outing, onlookers noticed the baby wearing blue socks and a sage bucket hat.
Daniel Radcliffe and Erin Darke have been in a relationship since 2012 and have always maintained a low profile. They have only attended a few red carpet events together, including the premiere of The Lost City last year. The couple met on the set of the movie Kill Your Darlings in 2013, where they had a memorable on-screen sex scene.
In an interview with People TV in April 2019, Radcliffe fondly reminisced about their first meeting, saying, “It’ll be a hell of a story to tell our kids one day because of what our characters do with each other. Our characters are meeting and flirting with each other, so there is this kind of sweet record of us just meeting for the first time and flirting.” He hilariously added that there was “no acting going on” during the scene.
Radcliffe now joins his Harry Potter co-star, Rupert Grint, in the parenthood club. Grint and his long-term partner, Georgia Groome, welcomed a baby girl named Wednesday Grint in 2020.
