Last weekend, four teenage friends, Jevon Hirst, Harvey Owen, Wilf Henderson, and Hugo Morris, embarked on a camping trip in Snowdonia, North Wales. They were filled with excitement, looking forward to creating lasting memories. However, this adventure took an unexpected turn.

Their journey began on a sunny Sunday morning, with plans to return the following day. As time passed without contact from the boys, their families grew increasingly concerned and decided to involve the authorities. A report was filed, and an extensive search commenced in the surrounding woods.

Helicopters, Coast Guard personnel, and mountain rescue teams all joined in the efforts to find the missing teens. Two days of intensive searching led to a heartbreaking discovery – the bodies of the four boys were found inside an overturned car, partially submerged in water.

At present, it seems that this tragic incident was indeed an accident. Our thoughts are with the families and friends of Jevon, Harvey, Wilf, and Hugo during this unimaginably difficult time. The young men’s car appeared to have veered off the road in the village of Gareg.

The families affected by this devastating event are understandably in deep sorrow. Crystal, Owen’s mother, expressed her grief in a poignant and emotional Facebook post. Describing the ordeal as a never-ending nightmare, she yearns for it to be only a bad dream from which she could wake. Crystal also shared that she will be temporarily closing her business, as she cannot focus on work in the absence of her beloved son.

Interestingly, Crystal, Owen’s mom, had no prior knowledge of the camping trip. She believed her son was staying overnight at a friend’s house. Reflecting on this, she stated that she would not have permitted Owen to go camping in winter weather had she been aware of the plans.

Lisa Corfield, the mother of Henderson’s girlfriend, also spoke about the boys. She revealed that they were inexperienced campers and unfamiliar with the location. Their camping gear consisted only of a tent and sleeping bags, opting for the bare essentials.

Sharing a heart-rending photo of the boy who tragically passed away, Lisa described him as a “lovely, kind young lad” who treated her daughter with the utmost respect. It is clear that he exemplified the qualities every parent dreams of in a partner for their child.

During this somber time, countless individuals are reaching out to offer their condolences to the grieving families of these young boys. The families are still grappling with the heartbreaking reality that their beloved sons are no longer by their side.

We extend our deepest sympathies for the immense loss suffered by these families. If you feel compelled, please share this article with your loved ones on Facebook, allowing their story to be heard and remembered.
