Demi Lovato’s former fiance, Max Ehrich, recently found himself targeted by online impersonators. In an attempt to set the record straight, Max addressed the alarming posts that were falsely attributed to him.

Earlier this week, an Instagram account claiming to be Max started posting about his and Demi’s engagement, seemingly trying to win her back. However, Max swiftly clarified that the account was not his. The person behind it shared old photos of Demi and Max together, along with captions of Max professing his love for her.

One of the posts featured pictures from their beach engagement, accompanied by the caption, “You’re the reason she won’t marry the love of her life, who has always been me.” The user also shared alleged direct messages between themselves and Demi, as well as a conversation they claimed to have had with Demi’s brother, Jutes.

As soon as Max learned about these fake posts, he took to his verified account to address the situation. In a message posted on his Notes app, Max expressed that he only wants the best for Demi. “I am aware of the fake pages that were created to post fabricated and cruel messages about a truly joyful occasion in Demi’s life, a moment that should only be celebrated,” he wrote.

From the bottom of his heart, Max sincerely wished Demi and everyone involved a lifetime of peace and happiness. He requested that he be removed from any fake pages and completely dissociated from the narrative. It is our hope that the impersonators and others involved respect his wishes.
