One such story involves the Collins Kids, a family with nine siblings who run a popular Instagram account. Shaq, who is friends with the family, often spends time with them and stays in touch through social media. Earlier this year, he paid them a visit and made a lasting impression.
During his visit, Shaq played games with the kids, showered them with love and encouragement, and even gave them gifts. The family was overjoyed by his presence and couldn’t be more grateful for the experience.
But Shaq’s generosity didn’t stop there. A few months later, he surprised the family with a dinner outing. They had a great time hanging out and enjoying a meal together. Little did they know that the NBA superstar had more surprises in store for them.
The next day, Shaq took the family to the Mercedes dealership and ordered them a custom 15-passenger van, set to be delivered in mid-July. The family was shocked and immensely grateful for the gift. The kids couldn’t contain their excitement and hugged their hero tightly.
But that wasn’t the end of Shaq’s generosity. During another dinner outing, Shaq paid for the entire meal of another table, not knowing that they were on a mission trip. Additionally, he generously tipped their waitress $1000, after learning that her car had broken down.
During this same dinner, Shaq discovered that the father of the nine siblings was having issues with his truck. Without hesitation, Shaq took the family to the Ford dealership and bought the father a brand new truck.
The Collins family felt incredibly blessed by Shaq’s kindness and felt grateful for the time he spent with them, offering words of encouragement and love.
