Premier League club provides update after player collapsed on pitch

A Premier League club has given an update on their captain following his collapse on the pitch. Tom Lockyer, the captain of Luton Town FC, collapsed during their away game against Bournemouth AFC on December 16th.

The team later confirmed that Lockyer had suffered a cardiac arrest and was immediately taken to the hospital after receiving treatment at the stadium. Luton Town has now released an official statement providing an update on Lockyer’s condition.

“While our captain Tom Lockyer remains in the hospital following the cardiac arrest he suffered on the pitch at Bournemouth yesterday, we understand that supporters are concerned for him and that there is widespread media interest in his condition. Tom is still undergoing tests and scans, and we are awaiting the results to determine the next steps for his recovery.”

The club has also requested that the media and fans respect Lockyer and his family’s privacy during this difficult time. They are unable to provide a constant update on his situation and will release any updates through the official club channels when appropriate.
