Brooke Schofield denies claims Matt Rife cheated on her with 20 women

After explosive remarks about her ex, Matt Rife, surfaced on a podcast, Brooke Schofield has spoken out to set the record straight. Schofield, a popular YouTuber, and Rife, a comedian, were believed to have dated earlier this year but called it quits. Rife claimed that he was too busy to invest time in the relationship, leading to its demise.

During an episode of the CANCELLED with Tana Mongeau podcast, Schofield revealed that she ended up in a group chat with seven other women who all claimed to have dated Rife. She noticed a TikTok video from another woman alleging a relationship with Rife and found the timelines suspicious. After reaching out to the woman, Schofield was added to a WhatsApp chat with other supposed exes of Rife. When she confronted Rife via text, she discovered that her number had already been blocked.

Following the podcast’s airing, there were reports that Schofield accused Rife of cheating on her with 20 women. However, Schofield has categorically denied these claims. In response to a Page Six article featuring the allegations, she took to social media, saying, “No, I absolutely never said that at all whatsoever.” It remains unclear where Page Six obtained the information, as it is not believed that Schofield made such a statement on the podcast.

It’s worth noting that Rife is not a stranger to controversy. He received significant backlash for a joke made during his Netflix special. The joke, about domestic violence, garnered criticism for its insensitivity. Rife later defended himself, asserting that comedians should be able to say whatever they want. Nonetheless, the joke was widely condemned as crossing a line.
