19-year-old singer, Somer Smith, had a life-changing experience when she received the news that she would be competing in The Voice: Australia blind auditions. With only previous performances in front of her family, she was now about to showcase her talent on national television in front of esteemed judges including Delta Goodrem, Joe Jonas, Kelly Rowland, and Boy George.
Despite feeling fearful, Somer was determined to push through and pursue her passion. Her one wish was to impress the judges and turn one of their chairs during her pre-audition interview. For her audition, she chose the beautiful Gospel song, “His Eye Is on the Sparrow,” composed in 1905.

Somer had initially hoped for just one judge to turn their chair for her, but to her surprise, all four had done so. Now, she faced the challenging task of deciding which team to join. In the end, Somer decided to join Team Kelly.
